NCLEX Predictor scores: turn practice results into a study plan

Understand Naxlex RN Hub Predictor, CAT and RAT practice scores, what they cannot predict, and how to review your next weak area.

A practice score answers a narrow question: how did you perform on this particular set? It does not tell you the questions you will receive on test day, and it cannot replace an official licensing decision. Start by checking the topic coverage and the kinds of mistakes behind the percentage.

The Naxlex RN Hub Predictor is an independent preparation tool with 85–150 original questions and a five-hour limit. After at least 85 answers, cumulative accuracy at or above 90%, or below 50%, ends the practice assessment. Exactly 50% continues. These are our study rules, not the NCLEX passing standard or a validated pass probability.

Our CAT-style practice offers 30, 60 or 85 questions with difficulty that moves after each answer. RAT practice is a 60-question assessment with a 90-minute clock that starts after its questions are prepared. Use each activity for a different purpose: targeted learning, adapting to challenging questions, or practicing pacing.

Review a missed question in three parts: identify the cue you overlooked, explain why the correct action is safest, and explain why your chosen distractor is less appropriate. Then request focused original material or take a short quiz on that topic. A new set is useful only when it tests an improved understanding.

Official NCLEX results come from your nursing regulatory body. In participating jurisdictions, unofficial Quick Results may be available after two business days; they are different from a commercial practice score. Use NCSBN’s official resources to check current result procedures.

FAQ

Does 90% mean I passed the real NCLEX?

No. It is a stopping threshold for this practice tool only, not an official passing result.

Should I use Predictor or a focused quiz first?

Start with focused quizzes if you need to learn a topic. Use a practice assessment later to check pacing and spot remaining gaps.
