TEAS 7 practice test: sections, timing and sample questions

What is on the ATI TEAS 7, how long each section is, and original sample questions for reading, math, science and English.

The ATI TEAS 7 has 170 questions over 209 minutes in four sections: Reading (45 questions, 55 minutes), Math (38 questions, 57 minutes), Science (50 questions, 60 minutes) and English and Language Usage (37 questions, 37 minutes). Your nursing program sets the score it requires.

Science carries the most questions and usually the most worry, and anatomy and physiology make up most of it. Learn how each body system works, rather than memorizing labels. For example, knowing why the left ventricle wall is thicker answers several question types at once.

Math questions focus on numbers and algebra and on measurement and data. You can use a calculator provided on screen. Practice converting units, setting up proportions and reading charts. Write each step so you can find where an error happened.

Reading tests key ideas, craft and structure, and how to combine information from more than one source. English covers grammar, punctuation, spelling and vocabulary from context. Short daily sets work better here than long weekend sessions.
